Drum Carder
Cleaning/Burnishing Brush
We are now manufacturing cleaning/burnishing brushes. These are not wimpy little Chinese brushes, the handles are made
from 2-inch thick, nine-inch long, tung oil finished, hard maple.  They have a special carding cloth; we had made just for
these brushes.

They have a specially made 1 ¼ inch long 1 ¾ inch wide, 90 tpi, very flexible carding cloth for the cleaning/burnishing area.
This allows the wires to easily reach to the very bottom of the drum carder carding cloth and will clean the very hard to get
bits out.  When burnishing they push the fiber down to the bottom of the carding cloth.  The cloth is mounted on the brushes
so the bend in the wire points to the rear when you are holding it in a normal manner.  This means no more holding the
brush backward to burnish your fiber down.

As with all our products
“quality comes first”, so we are including a lifetime guarantee on the brush.  If it ever needs the
cloth replaced, just return it to us along with return postage, and we will replace the cloth at no charge.

Red Locust burnishing brush
We have a quantity of cleaning/burnishing brushes made from beautiful Red Locust wood. Some are more colorful than others, but all will have at least as much color as this sample. I'm not sure if we will be able to procure more of this wood when they are gone, so make your purchase while they last.

When manufacturing these brushes, we have a few with unique
flaws.  Rather then destroying these, I use my Grandfather & Fathers
philosophy "If you can't fix it, feature it!"  Therefore, we offer these
one of a kind brushes with featured flaws.  Sometimes a flaw can be
beautiful.
SOLD. This is a Hard Maple brush that had a knot in the wood that had partially fallen out.  The
void was filled with a semi precious gemstone "Amazonite" that has been crushed.  It is
then mixed with an epoxy and placed in the void, smoothed to match the wood and
polished to a high gloss.  The end result is quite striking.  Only one available
SOLD. This is a Red Locust brush that had a piece of loose bark on one side and a crack in the
center.  The Void was filled with a crushed semi precious gemstone "Malachite", and
the crack was filled/repaired with clear epoxy.  Everything was then formed and
