1. It uses a more expensive gear drive motor that turns slowly allowing the use of small pulleys, but has a
great amount of torque (turning power). It also uses tooth belt pulleys that feature the same no slip quality of
chain drive, but with no required maintenance and very quite operation.
2. It has fully adjustable speed control, from 0 to 60 rounds (on the swift) per minute. (Because the motor
drives the swift, it will not change the feed to card ratio on your existing drum carder.
3. It is reversible.
4. The entire assembly which consists of a frame, two pulleys, gear head motor, motor controller with speed
control/on off switch/reverse switch, tooth belt, power supply, and power cord will be contained in an
approximately 3.5 inch tall red oak or maple frame that will fit under your existing drum carder.
The price for the entire custom motor kit assembly is $419.95 plus return shipping of $34.95 for standard size
carders and $45.95 for doublewide carders and normally takes about a week after we receive the carder.

| We have developed, a motor assembly that we offer as an option on all our Kitten drum carders, and we have now decided to offer this quality low cost motorization kit to anyone that wishes to motorize their drum carder. We don't care what brand, just send it to us and we will build a motor kit that will mount to the underside of the your carder, just like it does on our Kitten drum carder. We will use the same quality parts used in the construction of our own products and we will install it for you. All this at the extremely reasonable price of $419.95.
